This tea is sourced from an organic estate in south-eastern China, near the Yangtze River. The freshly plucked leaves are hand rolled and then pan-fried, giving the unique “eyebrow” shape of the leaves and taste.
The nose of the dried tea leaves exudes a strong fragrance and it brews into a deep oily-green which leaves a distinctive provocative plum-like aftertaste after each sip! The Chun Mee tea is also a tat unusual among green teas as it has higher astringency and lower sweetness compared to others.
